Here is a thorough case study of a client of ours who works in e-commerce and achieved remarkable achievements in a short period of time.
This customer participated in our managed SEO program.
Here, you may read about the plan employed in all of these case studies.
Let’s get into it!
Background
Despite being registered in late 2013, this website had nearly no visitors. Even though the owner had invested a fair amount of time and created a sizable number of pages, the site received virtually ANY traffic.
SEO Audit
We always do an audit of the website to check for any serious underlying problems.
This website was not penalized; it simply never achieved page 1 ranking for the desired keywords. Additionally, there was no over-optimization; rather, there weren’t many linkages.
Keyword Research
We usually prefer to look for hidden opportunities on a site that we may concentrate on for immediate traffic gains while conducting keyword research.
The number of terms they appear for in the top 100 positions is represented in the graph below. They appear to have a ton of promise.
Easy Wins Analysis
When conducting our easy wins study, we look for keywords that are appearing in Google, but not necessarily in the top positions where the majority of traffic is coming from. These can be raised if we can spot them, which will result in a faster increase in traffic.
For this website, we found 1001 easy wins keywords with CPCs ranging from about.50 cents to $6, ranking predominantly on pages 2 and 3 with traffic between 10 and 9,400 milliseconds.
This website had a ton of potential, but it wasn’t receiving much attention because it wasn’t ranking on page one.
Content Gap Analysis
We find rival keywords that the site isn’t yet targeting with the help of the content gap analysis, and this serves as the foundation for our content production.
We discovered 103 keywords for this site with volumes between 150 and 2900 milliseconds and PPC expenditures comparable to the quick wins.
We chose a few keywords with the client’s help based on their understanding of market trends and high priorities (This is why we work WITH the customers to understand business goals).
SEO Strategy & Execution
Here’s what our campaigns looked like:
